Renmin loco

The First Renmin Type Loco:
This was the improved successor to Sifang Locomotive Factory's own first prototype, the Shengli, first produced 2 years earlier. The factory in total produced 258 locos of this particular "Renmin" design bearing the name of China's people.

Even so care was taken to details. Enjoy for instance the alarm bell with its simple pull-wire construction on the picture left.

The front was the classical boiler door with a front lantern. Note the foot steps mounted on the front on both sides.
