And so we exit The Forbidden City of "the Forbidden City", Beijing.
Shenwu Gate is the northern exit of the Imperial Palace. Across lies Jingshan park which had a few more visitors but even its side streets laid deserted at 5 pm....
Shenwumen: Not a single car or bus and no visitors;
all you see are two 'locals', guards and two souvenir salesmen
