Imperial Garden - April 26, 2003 1600 hours
Laid out on an invisible axis with buildings on both sides in perfect balance, the Imperial Garden was created during the Ming dynasty in the first half of the 1400s.
The garden covers an area of over 12,000 m2.
A rare view of this harmonious garden
- it lies unvisited in total tranquility but for a few singing birds
Two cypresses grafted into one symbolize the unswerving love
between husband and wife (oh yes, and one visitor)
