China's
1st Diesel Passenger Loco.
This is a standard, 4-axle hydraulic power transmission locomotive. It was
used as a main-haul passenger traffic locomotive.
Being diesel powered it was used extensively outside of urban areas where
MOR's pan-China rail network had still not been electrified.
It was made by the "2 & 7 Locomotive
Factory".

The construction was utilitarian and yet with many rather modern frills
such as electrical wires embedded in the front windows for easy
defrosting.
The engine room was not crammed and yet allowed for a powerful engine.
I have no idea what the steering wheel was for??
